NEW YORK — WSP, a leading engineering, environment and professional services firm, was named the largest engineering firm in the New York area for the eighth consecutive year by Crain’s New York Business magazine.
The annual list ranks the largest engineering firms by the number of licensed engineers working in the New York region in 2023.
WSP is working on many of the region’s most complex building and infrastructure projects, including the Gateway Program Hudson River Tunnel, Tiffany Landmark, Brooklyn Tower (9 Dekalb Avenue), Champlain Hudson Power Express and the all-electric Shirley Chisholm Recreation Center.

WSP secured the second spot on Crain’s Chicago Largest Engineering Firms List for 2024. Noteworthy local projects include the new Riu Plaza Chicago, Harper Court at the University of Chicago, The 78 Community, work on Chicago Transit Authority’s Red Line expansion and a general engineering consultant contract with the Illinois Tollway extending through 2026.
