Natural Environment and Ecology

Understanding our environment is key to successful sustainable planning and conservation. Population growth, urbanization, commercial and industrial development and climate change are among several factors that are impacting natural ecosystems globally and locally and, in some cases, leaving behind negative impacts on land, water and coastal resources.

Whether it’s for the expansion of an existing facility on undeveloped or developed land; the extension of a bridge, highway or rail line; building a new hydropower dam, or for a remediation project involving potentially impacted ecological resources, clients count on WSP to provide solutions regarding the protection and restoration of natural resources and ecosystems, environmental and biophysical obligations and compliance with legislation, regulations and policies.
