PortMiami Debuts World-Class Emissions-Reducing Shore Power System

As engineer of record, WSP helped establish the largest shore power system on the nation’s east coast at one of the largest cargo and passenger ports in the U.S.

The substation at PortMiami's Cruise Terminal F can supply up to 16 MegaVoltsAmps to cruise ships. WSP designed the shore power system, which includes the substation and cable management system minimum requirements, and medium voltage power underground distribution.
