Innovative engineering

One of Europe’s tallest timber buildings housing a four-storey cultural centre and 20-storey hotel.

  • Timber and concrete floors in the cultural centre enhance the stability of the whole building.

Flexible design

Open-plan, accessible spaces that can be adapted for different activities as user demand changes.

  • Glulam and steel trusses above the cultural centre’s foyers reduce the number of columns needed.

Bespoke foundations

The timber structure is supported by foundations comprised of steel pipe piles and concrete.

  • Our technicians carried out precise measurements onsite to confirm the piles' load-bearing capacity.
