NEW YORK — WSP’s commitment to embedding environmental stewardship into all of its global business practices was recognized by TIME magazine in its inaugural ranking of the World’s Best Companies in Sustainable Growth 2025, the latest honor acknowledging the firm’s unwavering dedication to sustainability.
Released on Nov. 27, WSP ranked 69th on TIME’s inaugural list of the top 500 companies that have demonstrated their commitment to financial growth while promoting sustainable environmental practices. The analysis, developed by TIME and the market data research firm Statista, is based on a company’s revenue growth, financial stability and environmental impact.
This year, WSP earned many other notable awards for business practices and industry leadership. A partial list includes:
- Bentley Systems 2024 Going Digital Awards recognized WSP with its Subsurface Modeling and Analysis award for the firm’s work on the North East Link Central project in Melbourne, Australia in a joint venture with Spark. WSP developed and delivered 3D subsurface models to support design analysis and construction planning for the project that features twin road tunnels, new parklands and will remove 15,000 trucks from local roads every day. The annual awards honor infrastructure professionals and their innovative use of Bentley software to improve the way infrastructure is designed, built and operated.
- The Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) selected 19 WSP projects around the globe to receive a total of 31 2024 Award of Excellence honors. U.S. building honors included the Best Tall Building (300 meters and Above) for The Brooklyn Tower, the 10-Year Award for the One World Trade Center building, the Future Project Award for 175 Park Avenue, and the Best Tall Building (Under 100 Meters) for the (W)rapper Tower in Los Angeles. WSP also earned the Innovation Award for the firm’s invention of the CLT-Steel Composite Floor System.
- Engineering News-Record recognized WSP as the leading firm in the publication’s annual list of the Top 225 International Design Firms for the fourth consecutive year. In the U.S., WSP was honored as the top Intermountain Design Firm and Southwest Design Firm for 2024, while also securing six prestigious Best Regional Projects and three Awards of Merit.
- WSP was previously recognized by TIME and Statista on its World’s Most Sustainable Companies of 2024 ranking, which identified the top 500 companies that have followed through on their climate and sustainability initiatives through trackable, public commitments to improve the planet. WSP ranked No. 53 on the list.
- Frost & Sullivan Institute’s 2024 Enlightened Growth Leadership Best Practices Recognition selected WSP as one of 1,500 companies globally for “doing well by doing good.”
- WSP was selected for four Environment Analyst 2024 Sustainability Delivery Awards, recognizing project work and people throughout the company.
