David Symons, WSP future ready innovation leader based in the UK, will participate in The Race to Zero Working Group on Net-Zero for Professional Service Providers. The session will highlight emerging best practices and ideas for engaging with the challenge of serviced emissions with the ultimate goal of Net Zero emissions. “AI’s Sustainability Paradox: Balancing the Potential and Peril for Energy and Natural Resources”
Moderated by Berger, panelists from NVIDIA, Haveli Investments, HPE and Ada Infrastructure, will address the relationship between AI and sustainability, including trends in data center growth, technological innovation, and what it means for data center evolution and business’ climate and sustainability ambitions. Finally, WSP will cohost “Co-exploring Urban Climate Resilience at the Watershed Scale” at the CUNY Graduate Center, with Pinar Balci, PhD, WSP senior vice president, New York City Water lead and East Water deputy leader, moderating one of the two morning panel sessions. Carrie Grassi, WSP vice president, New York/Northeast regional lead for resilience will also participate. The forum will address holistic watershed scale flooding frameworks coupled with integrated adaptation approaches, including nature-based design, that result in reduced flooding, water quality improvements and vibrant, resilient communities.
