Using photogrammetry and 3D point cloud capabilities, teams can now record, analyze, and monitor mine slope stability more efficiently and, most importantly, from a safe distance.

The remediation of the former Giant Mine in Yellowknife, NWT, co-managed by the governments of Canada and the Northwest Territories, is a massive undertaking. The Giant Mine Remediation Project’s focus is on managing the arsenic trioxide waste and remediating the entire site. 

WSP provided assessment, procurement and implementation of a new toll collection system for this international bridge crossing.

The first joint toll system procurement and implementation on the U.S.-Canada Border improved toll collection operations and customer experience between Sault Ste Marie, Michigan and Sault Ste Marie, Ontario and Port Huron, Michigan and Point Edward, Ontario.

Building on its clinical expertise and in keeping with its unique academic medical organization, UCI Health envisioned a state-of-the-art hospital to consolidate its medical campus in Orange County, California.

WSP led development of a 10-year strategic plan for implementation of Road Usage Charges (RUC) for RUC America, a 20-state coalition of states exploring how to further RUC throughout the country.

The California Department of Transportation selected WSP to lead its Public/Private Roads Pilot to evaluate how a RUC program could address travel on and off public, private and tribal roadways in California.

WSP was selected by the California Department of Transportation to lead a four-phase demonstration to see how existing transportation service business models could be used to provide an easy user experience for road charge programs.

RUC America, a 20-state consortium, selected WSP to provide system definition, design and planning services in advance of a future road charge pilot (RUC) in the western U.S. This project established the foundation for a regional pilot that could, in turn, serve as a platform for a national road charge system.

WSP supported the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) to determine whether a road usage charge (RUC) would be feasible for Wyoming and how a RUC program could be deployed to help assuage an approximate $135M annual revenue shortfall.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation selected WSP to explore road usage charge-based funding alternatives to replace declining motor fuel tax revenues.
