WSP’s belief is that, for societies to thrive, we must all hold ourselves accountable for tomorrow. Our Global ESG Statement states that we will give back to the communities where we live and work with time and resources. Our efforts are directed in the form of investments, partnerships and pro-bono expertise, all guided by the passion of our people.

Great Places, for Life

On a business front, we launched a global initiative called Great Places, for Life which provides a clear direction to planning communities that are ready for the future. Our collaborative and holistic approach is based on six principles:

  1. Access and resilience
     We plan places that are prepared for shocks and stresses, to provide everyone with the foundations of health. 

  2. Belonging and inclusiveness
     Being part of a community isn’t just about living in the same place. 

  3. Economic and cultural prosperity
     We believe that the best foundation for success is to build on what’s already there. 

  4. Balance with nature
     Human health is inextricably linked with the health of our planet.  

  5. Active, connected communities
     Our teams embed social, physical and digital connectivity to broaden horizons whilst boosting mobility, health and cohesion.
