National Defense and Security

WSP supports the enhancement, defense and security and of our nation’s critical infrastructure, facilities and assets where and when it’s needed. We have the global resources to be in the right place at the right time to supply integrated support throughout a project’s life cycle — planning through design and engineering, through construction and program management — and including logistics support and operations and maintenance.

Enhancing the Readiness of our Nation’s Infrastructure

Federal facilities support government, as well as business and industry, civic and cultural affairs, healthcare and more. Our Federal Programs and Logistics team has successfully supported U.S. federal government agencies for more than 100 years, including all branches of the U.S. Department of Defense, General Services Administration, Agency for International Development, Department of Homeland Security, Department of State and Department of Energy, among others.

Solutions must adhere to federal guidelines but must also be cost effective, sustainable and aesthetically aligned with the local cultural context.

WSP has specialized expertise in the planning, development and realignment of military bases—from capital improvements to greenfield development to base closure and ensuring physical security through upgrades and blast protection engineering. Our project experience covers the spectrum of engineering and professional service disciplines and project types, including master planning, siting studies, planning and design of all types of support, training and operations facilities, aircraft and fuel services, logistics and operations and maintenance, and program and construction management.

We have performed at installations across the U.S. and around the world, at contingency bases and forward operating sites. Mission-critical projects require a high degree of attention to detail and proactive leadership. Our experience meeting sensitive requirements enables us to anticipate unknowns, deliver alternatives and offer collaborative solutions. WSP’s senior leadership and project delivery staff understand the no-fail need for quality and high performance our clients trust us to deliver.
