NEW YORK — WSP USA, a leading engineering, environment and professional services consultancy, has been lauded with Fast Company’s 2022 Brands that Matter recognizing the firm’s efforts as a successful Community-Minded Business.
WSP earned the distinction of being one of 18 brands that grew its business with a focus on both communities and the environment. The firm has impacted infrastructure projects in more than 500 cities and encourages project leaders to prioritize climate change considerations.

Fast Company wrote that WSP “draws more than half of its revenue from companies with positive environmental impacts in line with the United Nations Social Development Goals.” The publication also cited the firm’s work on several recent projects as a further example of this commitment, including New York’s Moynihan Train Hall, hurricane-resistant power construction in Liberia, and helping Amsterdam harness its canal water to move away from fossil fuels in 2021.
WSP continues to help restore endangered habitats and provides immediate ongoing response, recovery and rebuilding efforts for natural disasters and conflict.
The purpose of Fast Company’s Brands that Matter program is to honor companies and nonprofits that go beyond their products and services to demonstrate their cultural relevance and social engagement, while authentically communicating their missions and ideals.
This highly competitive award positions WSP alongside a variety of leading organizations that include Pinterest, The North Face, T-Mobile, Indeed and other innovators that were judged for their relevancy, cultural impact, ingenuity and business impact. The 144 brands selected for the second annual list were announced on Oct. 25.
Fast Company’s 2022 Brands that Matter list is featured in the publication’s November issue, which is now available online and will be on newsstands beginning Nov. 1.
