HOUSTON — As Texas and Louisiana continue rapid expansion, Paula Fitzpatrick brings passion, energy and deep experience to her new role as U.S. senior vice president and regional executive at WSP, one of the world’s leading professional services firms, combining its engineering, advisory and science-based expertise to shape communities and enhance economic development.
Fitzpatrick leads growth, strategy deployment, client engagement and performance, and cross-collaboration among each of the firm’s business lines in Texas and Louisiana. She is based in Houston.
“Having worked with Paula previously, I am delighted to team up with her again here at WSP in the U.S.,” said Joseph Sczurko, WSP U.S. region president. “Her energy and passion for people, projects and clients is genuine. She is the right person to challenge the status quo, drive innovative thinking and bring more value for our clients by asking tough questions and getting to the heart of what drives them and their current and future business needs.”
As a native Texan, with more than 25 years of experience in energy, engineering and commissioning, Fitzpatrick developed an impressive track record working in a variety of leadership roles. Most recently, she served as CEO of Americas for a global commissioning company. Previously, she was vice president of USA operations for a global infrastructure and energy company, leading regional project delivery teams while collaborating with global operations. Her previous operational leadership and field experience on energy and environmental projects has provided her with technical expertise to understand key issues that clients face, and keen instincts to find efficient, visionary solutions.
Fitzpatrick is a member of Energy Industries Council Advisory Board-North and Central America. She is a graduate of Texas A&M University-Galveston with a bachelor’s degree in maritime systems engineering.
WSP’s business lines—Power and Energy, Transportation and Infrastructure, Earth and Environment, Property and Buildings, Advisory and Planning, and Federal Programs—are well-represented in Texas and Louisiana.
